Church and Parish Hall Cleaning, Priced to Budget
Cleaning for churches, temples and parish halls: the sanctuary reset between services, the pews and the entry, and the kitchen and hall after an event, on a scope written to the budget you actually have.
A sanctuary has to be ready twice on a Sunday and sometimes three times, so the work is a reset rather than a deep clean. Aisles and the floor around the altar, papers and old bulletins cleared out of the pew racks, the pews themselves wiped down, and the candle wax that ends up on the wood and the tile taken off before it gets walked through the building. The entry and the coat area take the weather in this valley: wet boots, road sand and dripping umbrellas, all landing on the same twenty feet of floor from November into April. Both sets of doors get their glass, and the mats get lifted rather than swept around. Restrooms are cleaned and restocked before the weekend instead of after it, since Saturday evening is the last useful moment for that. Offices and classrooms fit into whatever week the parish calendar leaves open, and the schedule is written around the calendar you already publish.
The hall and the kitchen are their own job. A supper, a funeral reception or a fundraiser leaves tables, chairs, a floor and a kitchen behind, and it usually lands on the same handful of volunteers who were already there all day. That is the part worth handing over. Tables and chairs reset, floors done, kitchen surfaces, sinks, the range front and the trash carried out, so the people who cooked are not also the people mopping at ten at night. Budgets here are real and the scope gets built to them. Tell us the figure the committee approved, and the list is written to fit it, with whatever is excluded named just as clearly. Older buildings need more than cleaning eventually. Joints that have opened up through freeze and thaw need cutting out and repacking, which we do all twelve months with a heated enclosure once the nights turn, and interior walls that have gone dull need paint. Both are ours, and the order is set so the cleaning happens last.

What the program covers
- Sanctuary floors, aisles and the area around the altar
- Pews wiped, racks cleared and wax taken off the wood
- Entry, coat area and the glass on both sets of doors
- Restrooms cleaned and restocked before weekend services
- Parish hall floors, tables and chairs reset after events
- Kitchen surfaces, sinks, the range front and the trash
- Classrooms and offices on the week the calendar allows
- A scope you can trim or expand as the budget changes
Four things we hear before we start
These four come up in nearly every walkthrough we do of churches and parish halls. If any of them sound like your building, they belong in the scope.
The same three volunteers have been cleaning the hall after every event and they are done.
Pews collect dust, old bulletins and candle wax and nobody has time between services.
The kitchen gets used for a supper on Saturday and left for whoever opens on Sunday.
The entry brick is shedding mortar and the hall walls have gone gray above the radiators.
Tell us about the property
The walkthrough is free and nobody is going to sell you anything at it. We look, we ask what has been going wrong, and we put the number and the area by area list in writing. You decide after that, in your own time.
- We come out at no cost and with nothing to sign
- An area by area list in writing, not a promise on the phone
- One price per visit, never a running clock
- A separate kit of cloths and mops for every area
- The same crew comes back to your address
- A few days of notice ends a home plan, no penalty
