School and Daycare Cleaning on Your Calendar

Cleaning for schools, preschools and daycare centers on your term calendar, with the low surfaces small children actually touch, restrooms that take heavy traffic, gym floors, and a deep clean in the summer weeks.

Schools run on a calendar, and cleaning that ignores it becomes a fight by October. Nightly work fits between dismissal and the alarm being set, the heavy work waits for the weeks the rooms are empty, and all of it is written against your term dates so nobody is running a floor machine while a parent conference happens down the hall. In rooms with small children the whole job drops about three feet. Table tops and the underside edge kids grab, chair backs, cubby fronts, coat hooks, handles at child height, light switches, the trim they run a hand along on the way out the door. That is where a day actually gets passed around, and it is the part that adult height cleaning walks straight past. Restrooms are the other volume problem. A school restroom sees more traffic before lunch than an office sees in a week, so ours run on a documented rotation with restocking counted rather than assumed.

Gym floors are easy to ruin and expensive to refinish, so they get a product the finish can take, on a dust mop and a damp pass, never a general purpose degreaser that dulls the coating one wash at a time. Cafeterias get the tables, the benches and the floor underneath them, which is where everything really lands. Vacation weeks earn their keep. February and April are for the work that cannot happen overnight: floors stripped and refinished where they need it, classroom deep cleans, storage rooms nobody can empty during term. Summer is the big window, and it is also the only sensible month range for painting a school. Corridors, classrooms and stairwells get repainted while the building is empty, dry and back in service before staff return in August. Because the paint and the cleaning are one company, the shutdown gets planned as a single sequence instead of two crews arriving in the wrong order.

Before

Four things we hear before we start

These four come up in nearly every walkthrough we do of classrooms and daycare rooms. If any of them sound like your building, they belong in the scope.

Cleaning gets done at adult height and the surfaces a toddler actually touches never get wiped.

Your restrooms take three hundred visits before lunch and one pass at the end of the day.

The gym floor is dulling because somebody has been using the wrong cleaner on the finish.

February vacation comes and goes without the deep clean everybody assumed was happening.

  • We come out at no cost and with nothing to sign
  • An area by area list in writing, not a promise on the phone
  • One price per visit, never a running clock
  • A separate kit of cloths and mops for every area
  • The same crew comes back to your address
  • A few days of notice ends a home plan, no penalty
