Office Cleaning That Happens After Your People Leave

Nightly and weekly office cleaning across Lowell and the Merrimack Valley, run after your people go home, on a written task list that says which surfaces we touch and which desks we leave alone.

Most of the offices we run empty out by six, and the work starts once the last person locks up. The crew carries its own key or fob and its own alarm code, and both are logged against named individuals rather than floating on a shared ring. They pull trash and recycling as two separate streams, wipe the shared surfaces, take the kitchen and the restrooms, and leave the floors for last so nothing gets tracked back over them. Desks are the part that makes managers nervous. Ours do not move paper, do not shift a monitor, and do not lift anything off a work surface. If a desk should be emptied, name it in the scope and it gets emptied, with the seat number written next to it. Everything else sits where your team left it on Friday afternoon. That rule is the reason a program like this survives more than two months in a room full of engineers and accountants.

Floors are what people judge an office by. Hard surfaces get damp mopped and burnished on a rotation the finish can actually take, carpet gets vacuumed to the edges and spot treated where the chairs roll, and the strip between the elevator and the copy room gets worked before it sets into a permanent gray stripe. From November into April the lobby and the elevator lobby take the beating. Road salt rides in on every boot, dissolves, and dries back as a pale film that plain water only spreads wider, so those two areas move to a neutral cleaner and extra passes for as long as the roads are being treated. Entry glass gets both faces at the door line, which is where the prints are. When a suite needs more than cleaning, it stays in the same company. A conference room or a corridor gets painted Friday night into Sunday so Monday opens on dry walls, and if the granite steps at your entrance have gone loose, the mason who resets them works off the same scope.

What the program covers

  • Trash and recycling pulled as two separate streams
  • Desks left untouched unless the scope names that desk
  • Kitchen counters, sinks, microwave and the fridge exterior
  • Restrooms disinfected, restocked and dried, not just wiped
  • Hard floors damp mopped and burnished on a set rotation
  • Carpet vacuumed to the edges, traffic lanes spot treated
  • Lobby and elevator lobby worked harder through the salt months
  • Entry glass on both faces, door pulls and switch plates
Before

Four things we hear before we start

These four come up in nearly every walkthrough we do of office suites. If any of them sound like your building, they belong in the scope.

The lobby tile turns chalky white by January because the salt gets mopped around instead of lifted off.

Recycling and trash leave the building in the same bag, and your tenants notice before your landlord does.

Somebody moved papers on a desk again, and now the office manager wants the cleaners watched.

The entry glass has handprints on it by nine, right at the height every visitor pushes the door.

The walkthrough is free and nobody is going to sell you anything at it. We look, we ask what has been going wrong, and we put the number and the area by area list in writing. You decide after that, in your own time.

  • We come out at no cost and with nothing to sign
  • An area by area list in writing, not a promise on the phone
  • One price per visit, never a running clock
  • A separate kit of cloths and mops for every area
  • The same crew comes back to your address
  • A few days of notice ends a home plan, no penalty
