Recurring Cleaning on a Set Day With a Set List

The same day every week or every other week, the same people, and a list that stays put from visit to visit, so the work gets measured against something instead of against somebody's memory.

Recurring cleaning works because two things stop moving: the day and the list. You pick a weekday and an arrival window, and that slot belongs to your address. Weekly, every two weeks or every four weeks, whichever the house actually needs rather than whichever sounds right on the phone. The list is written before the first visit and it does not drift. Every room on it says what happens in that room, so there is no version of this where you get home and wonder whether anybody made it to the back bedroom. Want something added, say it and it goes on the sheet in writing, which is a different thing from mentioning it at the door and hoping it sticks. Want something dropped, it comes off the sheet and off the price. The list exists so both sides are looking at the same piece of paper.

The first visit is the slow one. The crew is learning the house: which door they come in through, where a vacuum plugs in without popping a breaker, which rug is not allowed to get damp, which cat cannot be let past the hall. Two visits later that is all settled, and the same hours buy more cleaning because none of them go to figuring things out. It is also when the rhythm starts paying you back. Nothing gets a chance to build, so the shower needs cleaning instead of scrubbing back, and the kitchen needs wiping instead of a degreaser. The crew starts working from what changed since last time rather than starting a house cold. That is usually the point where people stop thinking about it at all.

What the visit covers

  • Hold the same weekday and the same arrival window each visit
  • Send the same people so the house is not relearned each time
  • Follow a written room by room list you can edit in writing
  • Clean the shower, the tub and the surround, then dry the glass
  • Scrub the toilet bowl, the seat, the tank and the floor around it
  • Wipe counters, the backsplash and the front of each appliance
  • Vacuum the entry mats and lift road sand off the hall floor
  • Vacuum carpet, rugs and stair treads, then mop the hard floors
  • Dust shelves, sills, frames and the tops of low furniture
  • Empty the trash and recycling and reline every bin

Winter is why the frequency matters

From the first sanding truck in November to the last one in April, the street comes indoors every single day. Boots carry salt and grit through the entry, it gets ground into the hall, and one week is long enough for the traffic lane to go dull and feel gritty underfoot. Two weeks is long enough for it to reach the rooms off the hall. This is the stretch of the calendar where the gap between weekly and monthly shows up on the floor, and it is why a lot of houses here run weekly from November through April and drop back to every other week in May. You do not have to guess at that up front. Start where you think you belong, and after a month of visits we will say whether the schedule fits or you are buying visits you do not need.

There is no contract on a home. Nothing locks you into a year and there is no fee for stopping. If you need to skip a week for travel or a full house of guests, tell us and we move it or we let it go. All we ask for is notice, because that slot is being held for you and somebody else could use it. Commercial accounts work differently, since staffing a building on a fixed schedule means committing people to it, and those terms are written before the first shift. On a house, what keeps people is that the day holds and the faces do not change. You pay per visit at the same price every time, unless the list changes and you approve the change first.

FAQ

About recurring cleaning

If your question is not here, call and ask. We would rather tell you a smaller job is enough than sell you a bigger one.

How often should I book?

Most houses here land on every two weeks, and plenty of them go weekly from November through April once the road treatment starts. Weekly suits full houses, pets, small children and anyone working from home all day. Every four weeks fits a quiet couple or a house that mainly needs the bathrooms and floors held steady. Start with your best guess, and after a month we will tell you if you are booking more than you need.

Do I have to sign a contract?

Not on a home. You book a day, you keep it for as long as it works, and you can stop without a fee or a notice period. Skipping a visit is fine as well, we just need to hear it early enough to give the slot to somebody else. Commercial buildings are the exception, because we are assigning staff to your site on a fixed schedule, and those terms go into the agreement before the first shift.

Will it be the same people every time?

That is the plan, and it is a large part of why a standing visit beats booking one at a time. Your address belongs to a crew rather than to whoever has a free morning. People take vacations and get sick, so it is not an absolute promise, but a cover crew arrives with your written list and notes on the house. Once a crew has been to your address a few times, the same list takes them less time.

One price for recurring cleaning, agreed before anyone starts.

Half an hour at the property, at no charge, and you walk away holding the room by room list and one number.
